Editions and Signature
Open Editions
I print many of my photographs in open editions. This means that I place no restriction on the number of prints made and distributed.
Limited Editions
I limit the availability of certain images in my limited editions. In this case, I number each print on the back, and on the bottom left corner of the overmat. I restrict my limited editions to 100-250 prints. After which, I destroy the digital image and all its associated workflow. While, I cannot bring myself to destroy the original slide or negative after the limited edition is finished, I can assure you that I do not “re-open” an edition once over. Also, destroying the digital files and workflow does ensure that no additional prints will match the originals. |
Signature
I sign and date each print on the back of the photograph. I also sign each in the lower right corner on the overmat, below the photograph.
